Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi
Not Nigerian but essential reading for anyone serious about African and diaspora literature. Homegoing follows two half-sisters in 18th century Ghana and traces their descendants across generations: through slavery, colonialism, the Harlem Renaissance, and present-day America.
